It’s been an exciting few weeks across our Reno operations, with major milestones and meaningful connections. Here’s a quick look at what’s been happening — and what’s fueling the region’s growth.

RNO2 Building Update

Construction at RNO2 is progressing rapidly, and we’re thrilled to see the project taking shape. With the former structure now fully removed, crews are preparing the site for the next major step — pouring the foundation. RNO2 marks a key milestone for CENTRA as we continue to invest in scalable, high-performance infrastructure to support our customers’ growing connectivity and compute needs.

RNO1 Open House and Happy Hour

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our RNO1 open house and happy hour at 200 S Virginia. The event marked the debut of our new data center suite, expanding our presence from the original Meet-Me Room into additional space to support growing customer demand. It was a great opportunity to connect with partners, community leaders, and customers in person. The enthusiasm we saw reflects the strong momentum in Reno’s tech ecosystem — and the sense of collaboration that defines this community.

Nevada Energy Economy Summit

Two weeks ago, Bryson Hopkins from our team represented CENTRA at the Nevada Energy Economy Summit, where leaders from across the state discussed the infrastructure and energy needs of the future.

A key theme of the conversation was how AI is driving explosive growth in data center development. As computing power demands surge, facilities require significantly more energy and sophisticated cooling systems to dissipate heat — and the rate of change isn’t slowing.

Reno stands out as a prime location to meet these evolving needs. The region offers a powerful combination of available land, accessible power, favorable climate, business-friendly policies, and established infrastructure, making it one of the most attractive markets for sustainable data center expansion.
